To quote the late great Harry man...HHHHOLY COW! The Badgers FINALLY end up on the winning side of things. The losing streak stops at a six pack. And I can attest to exactly how it feels to have a losing streak finally end. ( ahem...hoosiers)
The thing is...i dont think they did too many things different in this game against illinois than they did all during the streak. But they did step it up a little more defensively, and they forced the illini to rush some shots, and when the orange dug themselves a hole they couldnt climb out.
Now the question is...is this the start of a good run of things, or was this just a desperation game? We'll find out in a few days wont we.
I'm really looking forward to the weekend! I'll be doing color commentary for the high school game tonight with Neenah playing at Kimberly. Then tomorrow night I'll be heading down to Milwaukee to see the post-Redd/Bogut Bucks take on the Pistons. Should be fun!
